Infrastructure Investments Award Win

Equitix is delighted to announce that we are winners of the Infrastructure Investor Annual Awards 2022 – ENERGY DEAL OF THE YEAR, EUROPE.

This award recognises our landmark deal to purchase Aurora Infrastructure, a Nordic platform investing in industrial electricity distribution assets across the region which owns and operates electricity distribution networks in Finland.

Equitix acquired the Aurora Infrastructure electricity distribution network from InfraVia Capital Partners in June 2022. We are incredibly proud of this deal because we believe Aurora is a key stakeholder in achieving net zero targets through work towards decarbonisation of key industrial production processes in Finland.

Aurora plays an important role in the decarbonisation trajectory of two historically carbon-intensive industries: oil-refining and steel. Aurora will play a significant role in building out the electrification network required to power these projects and ensuring the overall energy transition objectives are met.
