Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Limited

Beatrice is an offshore wind farm located 13km off the northeast coast of Scotland, close to the Beatrice oil field in the Moray Firth. Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm is an operational offshore wind asset covering an area of 131 km², over 5 times the size of Inverness . The wind farm became operational in June 2019. The project has a combined capacity of 588MW consisting of 84 7MW Siemens Gamesa wind turbines, generating enough clean electricity to power 800,000 UK homes.

The project benefits from a 15-year Contract for Difference (CfD) and long-term power purchase agreements aligned to the expiry of the CfD.

The asset is operated by Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Limited. The shareholders are SSE (40%), Red Rock Power (25%), Equitix (17.5%) and TRIG (17.5%).
