The East Rockingham Waste to Energy Project is a waste to energy facility under construction in Rockingham, south of Perth. On completion, the facility will have the capacity to process 300,000 tonnes per annum of municipal waste from commercial and industrial sources. It is expected to produce 29MW and power 36,000 homes, whilst achieving a 96% diversion of residual waste from landfill.
