Tilbury Green Power

Tilbury Green Power is a fully operational 41.6 MWe (net) waste wood biomass plant located in the Port of Tilbury, approximately 25 miles east of London. The plant diverts around 275,000 tonnes of construction and household generated waste wood from landfill each year. The generation of renewable baseload electricity and diversion of waste from landfill prevents over 300,000 tonnes of fossil based CO2 emissions from entering atmosphere each year.

Equitix acquired the project in July 2021 and owns 49% of the shareholding.

The plant is operated and maintained under a long-term Operations and Maintenance contract and supplied with waste wood biomass under a long-term Fuel Supply Agreement with all waste wood prepared on-site as an integrated process.
