Egan Archer joined Equitix in January 2012 to develop the company’s involvement in the waste and renewable sectors. Since joining, he has facilitated the development of an extensive pipeline of opportunities for the Equitix Energy Efficiency Fund and Equitix’s core funds, originating a number of large scale waste to energy schemes, biomass to heat projects, industrial CHP schemes, waste biomass to heat, district heating schemes and onshore wind assets. Egan has a wealth of experience in the plant operations, project development, commercial structuring of primary and secondary investments and the technical, market and commercial due diligence of technology intensive assets particularly in the renewable energy and waste management sectors. He has been a Principal in the waste and renewables sectors for over 20 years assessing a broad spectrum of operational and greenfield projects in over 10 countries.
Prior to joining Equitix, Egan was a Partner and CTO with Aleltho Energy, a fund management business with an investment focus on renewable energy and waste projects across Europe. Prior to that, he spent eight years as a Director with Juniper, a boutique consultancy, appraising emerging and established energy technologies. Egan holds a PhD in chemical and process engineering and is a Chartered Engineer.
