Gideon joined Equitix in June 2021, after spending more than 13 years at John Laing. He is leading on new investments in the Benelux region and German speaking countries but is also involved in other European investment processes. He furthermore supports Equitix’s asset management activities on their BeNeLux assets. He is based in The Netherlands.

Gideon is passionate about the transition of the energy landscape and infrastructure. Through his role at Equitix he is determined to make a significant contribution to this global challenge by leading on investments which will make a positive contribution to the global sustainability goals.

So far at Equitix Gideon has been successfully leading several investments into anaerobic digestion projects producing bio-methane/LNG.

In total he has more than 20 years’ experience in investing, project development and project management – of which 15 were spent in the infrastructure sector. At John Laing, Gideon started the infrastructure part of his career bidding for Dutch and Belgian PPP projects, and throughout the years progressed to the MD level. During his last years, Gideon was responsible for all new investments and business development in the Europe and Middle East region. He headed the origination teams in London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Germany and Tel Aviv. Before his time at John Laing, Gideon worked in the real estate sector (development and investment), and he started his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen.

He holds a MSc title in Business Administration from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
