Peter O’FlahertyManaging Director, Asset Management

Peter is a Managing Director in our Asset Management Team, based in the London office.

Peter has a dual role that is both asset and investor facing.

He manages ten Equitix funds and managed accounts with AUM of over £3bn including Equitix Fund V, developing fund strategies, communicating performance with fund limited partners and ensuring compliance with limited partner agreements.

Peter joined Equitix in 2019 when the first network utility asset was acquired, and in his asset-facing role, Peter is the Head of the Network Utilities and Data Infrastructure sectors.

He oversees investments with an enterprise value of c. £15bn+ and AUM of c. £2.5bn across the UK and Europe. His teams manage both regulated and non-regulated utilities and businesses in electricity, gas, water, fibre optic, heat networks, and telecom tower infrastructure. These sectors are crucial for daily life and economic growth, serving c.60 million end customers.

Peter has over 25 years’ experience in investing, advising on and managing infrastructure assets. Prior to his role at Equitix Peter was a founding partner at NIBC Bank in their European Infrastructure Fund, managing assets across North-West Europe. Earlier in his career, Peter specialised in advising on tax based structured financed and project finance transactions and financed over 70 deals with a total value in excess of £2bn.

Peter is a Chartered Director of the Institute of Directors and holds an MSc in Property Development and Planning and a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering.
