Simon GreenManaging Director, Investments

Simon Green is a Managing Director in the Equitix investments team with a primary focus on greenfield investments. He is responsible for the investment process in Equitix and is a member of the pre-investment committee reviewing all investments prior to investment decisions.

Simon enjoys the challenge of creating and leading partnerships to deliver successful projects and programmes of investment. He also has a keen interest in investments which contribute to the achievement of net zero and have a positive social impact.

Simon has helped deliver a significant number of investments including Building Schools for the Future, West Yorkshire Police, the Priority Schools programme and more recently the Gentse biomass project and a portfolio of run of river hydro schemes including the large Kinlochleven dam scheme. He is proudest of the creation of the South West Hub public private partnership with 26 public sector bodies. This has delivered over £700m of development projects and successfully established a skills academy for your people and a supply chain institute for local companies.

Prior to joining Equitix in 2009, Simon led the regional team of a project management consultancy in the social infrastructure space helping public sector clients prepare business cases and procure partners for public private partnerships. Previously, Simon worked for Mott MacDonald, training as a bridge engineer and then working in their technical advisory team.

Simon is a Chartered Civil Engineer, has an MBA from Warwick University and Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
