Firmus Energy

Firmus is a gas distribution and gas supply business located in Antrim, Northern Ireland. Its gas distribution business is located in the Ten Towns area of Northern Ireland stretching east from Derry/Londonderry to Antrim and then south to Newry.

The gas distribution network continues to expand with 2,200km currently completed and another 200km to be laid in the next year.
Firmus directly employs 130 staff across both the distribution and supply businesses to manage the network expansion, new connections to the network and ensure gas is supplied to its 110,000+ customers.

The Firmus distribution network is regulated by the Northern Ireland Utility Regulator.

Given its relatively recent installation, the design, construction, and operation of the Firmus gas distribution network is extremely efficient, robust and high quality and renewable fuel ready for gasses such as Biomethane and Hydrogen.

Firmus is 100% owned by funds managed by Equitix.
