Sheffield Highways

The Sheffield Highways project is a 25-year PFI contract to refurbish, upgrade, operate and maintain 1,907km of roads over Sheffield’s entire city highways network. Following a five year investment period, the project moved into the operational phase in 2017 and is now delivering routine services and lifecycle management.

Project revenues are generated through an availability-based mechanism for the network and its assets, with no exposure to traffic volume risk.

The project client is Sheffield City Council, and the operations and maintenance provider is Amey. Equitix is a 50% shareholder in the project.
