Viridor Energy is a market leading developer, owner and operator of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERF) in the UK with a portfolio of 11 operating plants.

These ERFs provide critical waste management infrastructure for many local authorities in the UK by safely processing over 3.5 million tonnes of non-recyclable household, commercial and industrial wastes and in the process of doing so can generate enough excess electricity to power approximately 750,000 UK homes replacing the need for fossil fuel based electricity generation.

Treatment of wastes using ERFs avoids the need for landfilling untreated household wastes reducing the greenhouse gas emissions impact of waste management and recovering energy in the process.

Equitix have a 12.5% stake in this asset.
